Spin Magazine and No Depression have described them as the best live band in America. The songs are each thoughtfully crafted with unique arrangements, executed by superb musicianship, then fully realized through original, insightful and intelligent lyrics. Since 1992, SCAC has toured North America repeatedly, as well as Europe. Some highlights and bands they have shared the stage with are… Headlined SXSW Alternative Tentacles Showcase 2004, 2001, and 1997. Headlined Ottawa's Americana stage at the Blues Festival, 2000. Two week artist in residence at the Chesterfield, Paris, 1996. Official band for the Rodeo National Finals, Las Vegas, 1995. Played with the Melvins and Jello Biafra at Alternative Tentacles' 25th Anniversary Showcase. Jello Biafra has joined SCAC on stage, performing among others, 'Jesus Christ'.
